Amanda Lopez is a multidisciplinary artist based in Hudson County, New Jersey. Her work explores cultural identity, heritage, and personal history through a variety of mediums including painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography, wood, and clay. Growing up in a diverse community influenced her curiosity about culture and inspired her to explore her own Puerto Rican heritage through art.

Drawing inspiration from Caribbean traditions, history, and symbolism, Lopez often incorporates elements of nature, food, and the human figure into her work. Her vibrant color palettes and layered imagery reflect the richness of Caribbean culture while exploring themes of memory, belonging, and connection to place.

Having studied art therapy, Lopez approaches artmaking as both a reflective and expressive process. Her work often highlights women, cultural symbolism, and the relationship between nature, identity, and community. Through her practice, she aims to create work that honors heritage, celebrates cultural traditions, and invites viewers to reflect on their own sense of home and identity.
