The Wonderful World of Cutting Linoleum (8/23)
The Wonderful World of Cutting Linoleum (8/23)
Free Workshop
This workshop will provide participants with a selection of pre-drawn designs on linoleum blocks, which they will carve and print by hand. The designs will include lettering to help demonstrate the concept of image reversal, an essential principle of printmaking.
Instructor: TEDF
Ages 18 +
To keep the process efficient and accessible, the workshop will use black water-soluble ink and simple hand-printing techniques using wooden spoons or barens. The water-soluble ink allows prints to dry quickly, so participants can take their artwork home the same day.
