Angela Heisch

My work depicts a repetition of monolithic motifs and limited color pallets presented in vague but associative surroundings. These associative surroundings could be identified as rooms, chambers, plantlife, or doorways. Surfaces call to mind softness, animal skin, wood planks, sand or stone.

Oblong forms are assumed a sense of life and action through presenting themselves in slightly different ways; whether it be a shift to the left, a tilt to the right, or it's commonly seen confrontational upright stance.

These arrangements occur in environments that appear disjointed, maybe broken pieces of a once whole, while still maintaining an image of importance and intentionality.
