(Guttenberg, NJ) Guttenberg Arts is pleased to present Booramics, a solo exhibition by ceramic artist Dani Rodriguez. The exhibition will be on view from Saturday, November 8 through Sunday, November 30, 2025. Join us for the opening reception on Saturday, November 8, from 7 PM to 9 PM. RSVP at guttenbergarts.org.
In Booramics, Dani Rodriguez invites viewers into a cozy, lived-in installation that blurs the line between gallery and home. Rather than presenting ceramics on sterile pedestals, Rodriguez transforms the space into a warm, inviting environment filled with texture, light, and personal connections. The exhibition explores duality: one side filled with bright, whimsical forms, the other featuring darker, raku-fired vessels. This contrast reflects the artist’s own creative tension between playful expression and quiet introspection.
Rodriguez’s work centers around joy, community, and collaboration. Many of the pieces on view were made with or inspired by fellow artists and friends, including screenprinting with Russ Spitkovsky, natural dye work with Brandon T Downer, and a sunset painting by Pau Serrano. Other contributions, like glaze testing with Shana Brown and coffee filter plants inspired by Shamona Stokes’ grandmother, Lily Fernandez, reinforce the deep connections embedded in this body of work.
Dani Rodriguez is a ceramic artist based in Hudson County, NJ, known for her wheel-thrown forms, angular shapes, and whimsical ghost figurines. A former artist-in-residence at Guttenberg Arts (Fall 2024), she continues to exhibit locally and teach ceramics workshops across the region. Through her practice, she brings joy and accessibility to functional and sculptural ceramics, while fostering creativity in her community. Booramics is a celebration of comfort, collaboration, and contrast —offering a space to slow down, sit with texture, and feel at home in the company of art.
