Exhibition: Billy Maloney Thousand Year Dream

  • Guttenberg Arts 6903 Jackson Street Guttenberg, NJ, 07093 (map)

The public is invited to a free opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11 for “Thousand Year Dream,” a solo exhibition by artist William Maloney at the Guttenberg Arts Gallery. The exhibition will be on view from Saturday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Nov. 2. RSVP for the opening reception or schedule a visit at guttenbergarts.org.

William Maloney is a mixed media artist whose practice explores the vast terrain of dreams and the subconscious. Primarily working in acrylic, ink, and watercolor, he incorporates techniques such as masking, stenciling, impasto, and pinstriping, often blending airbrush and printmaking methods like monotype and linocut into his process.

In Thousand Year Dream, Maloney draws from a decade of dream journaling, offering visual interpretations of primordial creatures, liminal spaces, and cosmic symbolism. These visceral and hypnotic prints capture the emotional resonance of dreaming – where time unravels and personal anxieties, hopes, and archetypes emerge in symbolic form. This body of work invites viewers to engage with the universal human experience of dreaming as a lens into our shared subconscious.

Guttenberg Arts Gallery is located at 6903 Jackson St. For more information contact russ@guttenbergarts.org or call 201-868-8585.
