Jeremy Coleman Smith: Residence Opening Reception

Guttenberg Arts is pleased to announce the opening of Residence, a solo exhibition of new prints, sculpture and installation work by our year-long resident artist, Jeremy Coleman Smith. The exhibition will be on view at the Braddock Park Art Center,  from May 12th - June 3rd.

Residence will feature a selection of works that blur the lines between printmaking and sculpture. Jeremy Coleman Smith’s work brings attention to the stories that are told by our interaction with objects and the traces that they leave behind. Smith’s process starts by re-creating domestic scenes out of paper and results in a compelling array of work that varies from etchings and lithographs to sculptures and installation.

Jeremy Coleman Smith received his BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and his MFA at New Jersey City University. His multi-disciplinary work combines the use of printmaking, sculpture and furniture as an investigation of objects and display. He was one of the recipients of the 2011 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture by the International Sculpture Center and his work has been featured in Sculpture Magazine and the New York Times. He has exhibited his work in galleries throughout the United States and is included in several private collections, including the Hoggard/ Wagner Collection. Jeremy lives and works in Jersey City
