Intermediate Etching


Intermediate Etching will focus on various approaches to etching and aquatint that utilize resists, integrating digital information, hand-applied acids and other techniques.

This workshop will cover many of these methods which can be combined with the material that is covered in Intro to Etching. All materials are provided. Recommended for students with prior printmaking experience.

Jeremy Coleman Smith is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Jersey City who works primarily in printmaking and sculpture. Jeremy is currently an adjunct professor at New Jersey City University teaching in both Printmaking and Sculpture. He was one of the recipients of the 2011 Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture by the International Sculpture Center and his work has been featured in Sculpture Magazine and the New York Times. He has exhibited his work in galleries throughout the United States and is included in several private collections, including the Hoggard/ Wagner Collection.
